Color Tool
Introduction:
The colour tool is a comprehensive interactive space of learning about colour. This space can be useful for aspiring designers to learn about colour and its various aspects. It can be used by design students as well as people wanting to learn about design and colour. The colour tool is a part of D’Source - a digital learning environment for design in India developed by IDC, IIT Bombay.
Starting with the basics of colour and colour schemes, the tool moves on to illustrate attributes of colour which explain the colour technicalities as well as colour psychology. When learning about colour, one must take into account the context of its use. Thus, interactive exercises as colour applications are also an integral part of the tool. The colour applications will help the users understand the impact of colours when used for storytelling or as a communication piece for a product/service.
Colour is the first part of your design that the human eye perceives. It has more impact on a person than credited for. Hence, colour cannot be purely incidental in all cases. Conscious colour decisions result in enhancing your design.
This tool focuses on educating users about the sensitivities of colour which can help them in creating good design.
My responsibilities: Planning of interaction strategy and User Experience (UX) to enhance the overall User Experiences (UX) with overall technical Guidance.
